Education is the most powerful tool for changing the world. We understand education not just as academic knowledge, but as something much more powerful: it changes the world and transforms it into an environment that children deserve to live in.
SITUATION
250 million children are out of school worldwide. The right to a quality and equitable education is recognised in the legislation of practically every country in the world, yet we know that in many of them it is far from being a reality.
We also know that the most vulnerable children suffer the most from this lack of access to education.
This is not the only critical issue; the poor quality of education and the spaces in which it takes place are also detrimental to children’s learning, even for those who have access to education.
HOW WE ACT
We promote the participation of the entire educational community – students, teachers, families and the environment – in the construction of a democratic and transformative education, with children at the centre.
We work to ensure that the most vulnerable children can access and remain in quality formal and non-formal education systems.
We provide schools with safe and adapted facilities and equip them with innovative teaching materials.
