Catanduanes, Philippines — Educo Philippines has renewed its partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) of Catanduanes, reinforcing a shared commitment to promote education, child protection, and child participation across the province.

The signing of the new five-year Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was attended by Ma. Jeany T. Abayon, Schools Division Superintendent, and Delfin A. Bondad, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, alongside Marlon Villanueva, Country Director, and other personnel of Educo Philippines.
In her message, SDS Abayon expressed her deep appreciation for Educo Philippines’ continued support to DepEd Catanduanes and to Filipino learners:
“Here comes Educo Philippines again — our constant partner, our kasangga and kabalikat in the different programs and projects of the Department of Education. I’ve known Educo Philippines since my time with DepEd Sorsogon, and I truly appreciate the generosity and love that Educo extends to our learners. Here in Catanduanes, I appreciate Educo even more because this is my hometown. Whatever is in the MOA, rest assured that DepEd Catanduanes commits to implement it for the sake of our learners and the success of our programs. Please convey our gratitude to your donors for choosing Catanduanes as one of your recipients.”
SDS Abayon also highlighted how Educo’s initiatives have contributed significantly to improving access to quality education and child protection services in the province.

Meanwhile, Educo Philippines Country Director Marlon Villanueva reaffirmed the organization’s steadfast commitment to partnership and inclusive program implementation.
“We value our partnership with DepEd, from the national, regional, down to the provincial and municipal levels. Our projects are consultative and responsive to the needs of communities. We’ve been in Catanduanes since 2018, and as we begin our new Country Strategy in 2026, we aim to expand not just in Mindanao but also here in Bicol.
The MOA is coterminous for five years, but beyond that, we are proud to continue supporting DepEd in its many endeavors for children. We will remain aligned with the needs of learners in the years ahead.”

Educo Philippines’ continued presence in Catanduanes reflects its long-term commitment to empowering children and communities through education, child protection, and participation. The renewed partnership with DepEd Catanduanes signals a stronger collaboration toward ensuring that every child learns, is safe, and is heard.
